Water-retaining properties of NCZ composite dust suppressant and its wetting ability to hydrophobic coal dust

Abstract Coal dust is a primary threat to underground coal miners. The most common approach control hydraulic methods, such as water spray and seam injection. To improve the suppressant efficiency of novel chemical composite suppressant, called NCZ, was prepared in this study using calcium chloride (CaCl 2 ), magnesium (MgCl nonionic surfactants thermal synthesis method. water-retaining properties NCZ powder its solutions were characterized absorption rate ( WAR ) evaporation ER respectively, wetting abilities on tested initial contact angle (ICA) sink SR ). results indicate that have anti-evaporation effects, solution with 20.0 wt% reduced by 11.7% compared clean water.
